Tigris Bank engaged us after a third-party portal vendor missed a regulatory deadline twice. We took the engagement on a fixed-scope rebuild over five months, working alongside the bank's security and compliance teams from week one. The rebuild prioritised three things: stable performance under peak load, true multilingual delivery (EN/AR/KU with RTL), and giving the bank's operations team direct control over the content layer. The architecture splits a public-facing Next.js surface from an internal NestJS API, with Postgres primaries in two regions and Redis-backed session state. The portal launched on schedule and has held under three load tests at 3x current traffic. Two more banking products are now slated to migrate onto the same platform in 2026.

Challenge

A legacy customer portal with 1.2M users was failing under load, lacked Arabic and Kurdish support, and made every operational change a six-week engineering project.

Solution

We rebuilt the portal on Next.js + NestJS with a multi-region read replica strategy, full RBAC, and an admin console that lets operations ship copy and rate changes the same day.

Results

p95 latency dropped from 2.4s to 280ms, support tickets fell 38% in the first quarter, and content updates that used to require engineers now ship from the marketing team.
